Privacy Policy

Talking Well Consulting is all about being able to speak more clearly and part of that? It means being better about maintaining your trust and confidence when you visit my website. I want you to know I will never sell, rent, or trade email lists with any other companies or businesses for any marketing purposes. I would NEVER do that. Really! That is so capitalistic in a very bad way.

Now, because learning to trust a coach is essential, I’ve put together this Privacy Policy with a lot of detail about how I

collect your personal information, how I use it, the (very) limited conditions under which I might disclose it to others, and

how I will keep it safe and sound. Given the privacy of our communications this is imperative, not only to you, but to me too.

                                           Types of Data I Collect

Cookies

Like most websites, this one uses cookies to collect information, like browsing and purchasing behavior. (A cookie, in this case, isnothing edible – sadly – but rather a small text file with info that a website transfers over to your computer’s hard drive to help me analyze site traffic patterns.) Cookies don’t give me access to your computer or to information above any beyond what you choose to share with me.

Most web browsers default to accepting cookies (much like my default is to accept actual cookies), but you can change thosesettings if you want. Google away to find the easiest way to deny, deny, deny any cookies. You can totally still browse around my

site if you’ve disabled cookies. I do it sometimes too.

Google Analytics
When you come to Talking Well Consulting, know I use a third-party service, the all-powerful Google Analytics, to collect pretty standard, run-of-the-mill internet log information and visitor behavior patterns. Why? So I can learn who’s visiting what parts of

my site, what appeals the most to people, and what is the most useful to you. This information is only processed in a way that will

not let me figure out who you are. In addition to the fact that that would be very rude! I don’t make or allow Google to make any attempt to figure out who’s visiting my website. I don’t need to know your private thoughts or how you like your pizza or even your mother’s maiden name. I want to know only what you want to share and only if it is useful to our work.

Mailing Lists
If you sign up to get the Sound Games or the Blog (when it finally comes out), I do collect some personal information. I will know when you signed up, where you signed up, and, of course, your email address. I do this for a few (very logical, totally legit) reasons:
1) to keep you in the loop about news I think you’d like to know about, 2) to get in touch if I need some additional info from you, 3) to make sure my records are up-to-par, and 4) to make sure you’re a happy camper. I would NEVER rent or trade email lists with other organizations or businesses. Even to think about it gives me shivers

Of utmost importance: You can totally unsubscribe to the blog any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email I’ve sent you or by emailing me directly at talkingwelltoday@gmail.com.

Scheduling and Payment Processing
At present, scheduling initial interviews and appointments are done through the TWC email address. When you schedule an appointment with me, some personal information is collected: your name, email address, and phone number (so I can call or email you for our meeting, of course). Submitting your information does not mean I will add you to my blog list nor add you to my contact list. This information is only used for appointment purposes and is stored on my calendar alone.

Payment Processing
I use PayPal to process payments. As I said before, I don’t see any of your personal information – only that you paid – which is a good thing for both you and I. I also will not grab your email address and take advantage by emailing you all the time. Not a chance! If you want to get more familiar with PayPal’s privacy policy, check it out here. Other third-party software around the internet: Google Drive, including docs, sheets, forms, and all that jazz...you can check out their privacy policies right here.

Links to Other Websites
Yes, I do link to other websites when I think they have information that might be important to you or relates to what I’m talking

about or a product or service I think you might really love. I know you know this, but I have no control over those sites, only this

one. So that means I’m not responsible for what those sites do with your information. It's best to check their privacy policies if

you’ve got any concerns. But I don’t believe in taking advantage of your information since I don’t want you to take advantage of

mine. Right? Right!

Children + Privacy
There’s no explicit content here, but children under 13 still need to get permission from their parents, guardians, or watchdogs to

opt-in. However…this site is really geared toward grown-ups who need support with their accents so they are more able to get

work, keep work, and/or live their lives in confidence. Really!

Access to Your Personal Information
Your personal data is yours – always and forever. You have 1000% the right to view, make changes to, or totally delete any personal information I have. If this sounds like something you’d like to do, just send me an email and I’ll take care of it ASAP.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This privacy policy will change from time to time, as I will review it as needed to make sure we are both covered.

This policy was last updated on August 15, 2024.
